Re: Seats
Hi, I don't want to hijack this thread, but I assume a drivers seat will fit in place of a passengers; my wife needs some extra wiggle room to get in, and it seems like a drivers seat with the adjuster will slide further back, even if they're both mounted on the back set of holes. Is this the case?

Re: Installation of Radio
This may well be the case. I don't know why I bought a Minor, I've been a speed freak all my life. Maybe I'm mellowing, but I still get enraged when somebody holds me up, so Roxy must be quick enough.bmcecosse wrote:If you can hear the wireless - you're not driving fast enough..........

Re: Installation of Radio
I keep reading lots of comments about the noise level in a Minor being too high to hear a radio. I would suggest, if that's the case, either there's something wrong with the Minor is question or with the hearing of the driver. 8) I've had my 1970 2-door for 6 months now and have an old radio fitted ...

It wasn't difficult with mine, registration ROX, so it had to be Roxy. She's a little treasure too.

Re: Christmas decoration
Maybe I do post because I consider message boards (and I use a few) are the internet's home of opinion, and I would hate for anyone to think their opinions can go unchallenged.les wrote:I think it's naff too but I wouldn't make a post saying so.

Re: Christmas decoration
I can't believe it's just me who finds these things the naffest, most embarrassing things ever. It's not a 'bah, humbug' thing, I love Xmas, it's just I reckon if you haven't got a 7 year old as a regular passenger, don't decorate your car. I'm just the same with those infantile 'eyelashes' on Fiat ...

Re: Insurance
Just as an added note, people shouldn't assume that you can't get a Mog quote from one of the usual websites. I just got quotes from Confused.com for a 1970 2dr, social, pleasure and commuting, 6000 miles, kept on drive, only car, one additional driver (my wife), with protected no claims bonus. The ...

Re: Another new member
Hi again and thanks for all the useful comments. Fortunately, I have a brother-in-law who is a mechanic and has restored his own Scimitar SE4, so I can rely on his beady eyes to help me in the search for a good 'un! Hopefully, if I give Millenium a call and let them know I'm in the market, they'll c...

Another new member
Hi, new club member here. I've been lurking on the board for quite a while now, looking for any useful hints and just generally soaking up the atmosphere, so I thought I'd dip my toe in at last. My reason for joining the club is that I am intending to buy a moggy early next year in a spirit of exper...
