can blow through pipe from pump to carb, when i take this pipe off i can feel air being pumped out. Tick on pump is very noisy though. Car definitely had fuel last time i drove it so can't be that - i hope!

Car has fuel, pump ticking like a goodun, however no fuel coming to pump from tank, is this a fuel pump problem? any idea - I'm not a mechanic in any shape or form!

Ok will do thank you, don't suppose you know what oil to use in the dash pot my 56 manual says 20w20 but no such
oil exists, I am assuming just ordinary gear oil.??

Hello all, Very new to all this, have purchased a 1956 series 11 split. Wire mesh air filter needs cleaning but I have no idea how to get to it! The books appear to have a wing nut the mesh end but mine does not, meaning I am unable to get into the main housing and clean it as well as the oil sludge...
