Removing Rusted Torsion Bars

Any tips for removing rusted up torsion bars, ideally i do not want to have to dismantle the front end, the bar moves in and out of the front part fine but the other end is seized solid onto the adjuster arm. Any tips for getting it off? at the moment i am thinking just grind through the bar as i ha...

I am having an issue with my brakes on my traveller. The fluid keeps disappearing, it is running ford front discs, a servo and standard rears. I checked all the connections and thought i found the leak at the brake switch union so i changed all of the pipework and all of the unions on the complete s...

sorry, got it off in the end. Didnt have to cut anything either which made me happy. Just had to get the leaf in such a position that it had the least load on the bolt, then a couple of hard hits and it flew out. Thats that job done now onto the many other million and one jobs to do.

Leaf Spring Removal

Does anyone have any tips on removing the front mounting bolt from the leaf springs. I removed the drivers side by hitting it with a hammer for a while but the passenger side one will not budge at all. Its the odd bolt with the two holes in for a strange spanner.

well i could not get it to fit, it seemed as if the U shape cutout was slightly wider on the 1275 sump than the 1098. I have fixed the leak in the original sump and put that back on. Maybe just my engine but i could not ever see it fitting

1098 vs 1275 sump

Hi,
Are the 1098 and 1275 sumps supposed to differ? i tried my sump from my original 1098 on my marina 1275 but it would not fit at the back. Is this normal? if so would all 1275 varients fit on my marina block or does it have to be a marina one?
cheers

Oil Leak

I have an oil leak that i can not get rid of. I thought it was coming from the usual suspect (sump gaskets seals) but i have replaced them and it is still the same. The leak appears to be coming between the engine backplate/gearbox and the sump. Is there anywhere else here that it could be coming fr...

Fuel Pump

Hi,
My midget engine has the possibility of fitting a mechanical fuel pump, if i wanted to do this what would it involve? is it just a case of taking off the blanking plate and bolting on the pump? and will any a series mechanical pump fit?
Cheers
