Re: Anyone know what these two switches are for?

Thanks to you all for your various responses. I would guess that the cream coloured accessory socket is probably obsolete as I am unlikely to find a charger (or anything else) with a plug to match. The Minor does have a reversing light fitted (which is not working) so I would guess that this account...

Anyone know what these two switches are for?

These are fitted on a 1968 model Morris Minor two door Saloon, just to the right and under the steering column. I'm guessing they are retro-fitted from the original but I still cant work out what they are. They both illuminate when the ignition is turned on but I can't see what they do? AND .. what ...

Re: Replacement Exhaust System

Thanks to all for your help

I managed to locate an almost new 'one piece' mild steel exhaust for £15 on Gumtree from an enthusiast

Hopefully this should last at least 3-4 years

Thanks

Replacement Exhaust System

Good afternoon Gents

I need to replace the exhaust system on my Minor 1000, including manifold.

I would like some recommendations of makes/suppliers of systems.

ie. If it was your car, what system would you choose and why?

Thanks

Re: Brake Master Cylinder

Guys Thanks to all of you for the great (and humorous) feedback I do have a Haynes and a OEM manual so I can see how it should be done. I'd still like to find someone local who know the Morris Minor and would be willing to give some support and advice? I'm thinking of buying the Lockheed BMC and &qu...

Brake Master Cylinder

I wondered if there was anyone in the locality of Winchester who might be willing to help me with fitting a new brake master cylinder. I am trying to get my late fathers minor back on the road. It hasn't run for 23 years!! I've got the engine running quite nicely and I've decided to replace the main...

Restoration Services?

I have just inherited my Fathers Morris Minor 1000 Saloon. It was thoroughly restored around 1990, and then used once for my own Wedding in September that year. Since that time it has sat in dry storage in his garage in Colchester. I want to get the car back on the road again and get it moved to Win...
