My motor packed up, when I opened up the electrical bit the brushes and retainers fell out. I have bought a new/recon motor from Ware in Bristol. Should I replace the lot or swap the brushes over. I ask because I cant get the motor unscrewed from its mounting.

The problem seemed to be the catch at the bottom of the door.Ive unscrewed the rod which means the doors only latch at the top but the close and fit fine now.

Spray varnish doesnt work on handels and such. Started chipping the first time I opened the door.

Top tip! thanx. ISpray varnished the backdoor handel, several coats, looks perfect. Als did the bonnet logo, same result, just take care to clean it properly before spraying.

I want to re-cover the front seats. to remove them its just two brackets in the floor. Are the floor bolts screwed into the floor plate or is there a nut under the floor that I need to remove?[frame][/frame]

I've bought some new chrome work, bumperblade, bonnet slammer, bezels for front lights etc, should I treat the back of the pieces with something before fitting them to make them last longer? And if so what should I use.

Thanks for all the tips, I checked the hinges, there all in the right places, with some fiddeling around Ive now got them to close, Interesting to read that they are ment to jam a little.
