Re: Is a Morris a good first car?

So long as it is mechanically sound, a Morris Minor is not a bad choice for a first car as far as simply driving about at 30mph locally is concerned, and in fact it is arguably a better choice in some ways, most notably in that it will likely teach you more about basic maintenance than a modern car ...

Re: Winter Hibernation Ends !!!!!!!!

Portable battery pack, even easier.

Re: New Owner

Technically, it won't have a modern 17 character VIN number, since they only became standardised in the early Eighties, but its chassis number would be in the upper horizontal part of the radiator shroud, between the radiator and the wing panel.

Re: ls it difficult to become an owner????

As others have noted, it is not difficult at all. I'm sure you are aware that running a car that is half a century old is not the same as running something brand new, but there is no need to be daunted by that, as it is a case of swings and roundabouts: Yes you do have to do a bit more maintenance y...

Re: Spotted today.

Exchanged waves with some fairly youngish bloke in a dark blue Moggie saloon in Stafford today as I drove the other way in a green Moggie saloon. Dunno if it was anyone who frequents these forums.

Re: For $27,000 I'd like my carbs polished, thank you.

I agree that it is done up like a tart's handbag, but sartorial tastes aside, it is worth remembering that being it is located in the US, where even individual State regulations are not identical to the UK as far as equipment on vehicles is concerned, there is at least a chance that some of the item...

Question relating to Owner's Club membership

Just wondering how long it takes for confirmation to arrive when you join the MM Owner's Club? My insurer asked for a membership number when I was insuring my moggie today, and since I've not had anything through the post in relation to membership or any emails or whatever, I am unable to tell them ...

Re: welcome section on the forum

Hi, Thought I would chip in on this thread to introduce myself. Just coughed up to join the MM owner's club so I figured I'd register on this forum too. I have recently bought a 1960 2 door Moggie Saloon, registration AKG 364A. Will be picking it up on Sunday to drive it to my home. I've had a few o...
