Re: Timing chain cover with breather used with duplex chain

Hi Phil

on checking the breathing, the engine has a non vented rocker box cap. I assume this should be vented cap with the timing chain cover above.

Can you confirm

Thanks

Re: Timing chain cover with breather used with duplex chain

Hi Phil Thanks for providing the info on modifications require. I was aware of the need to knock out the dimple, but was not aware that the oil baffle needed to be modified / removed. Starter Motor M35G or M35J

I am in the process of upgrading the engine and gearbox in my Traveller from 1098 4 speed to a 1275 5 speed. The 1098 has always had a M35G starter motor and the 1275 has a M35J. I have looked on the forum and it indicates the M35J is a later type, but both are suitable. I have a M35G that is fairly...

On the old version I just went on the little orange box next to the title, to go to the first unread post, very useful for long posts. Is this symbol coming back? Re: Interior light

In the Morris Minor Workshop Manual it indicated both fuses are 35amp Not sure how your interior light unit is fitted to your car, but the fitting looks like the body of the unit would be earthed when the light is on. So you need to make sure the wires are the correct way round, as live on the wrong...

Re: Interior light

Hi

You don't indicate if you checked the fuse. On later cars its the fuse with the purple wires, that also does the horn.
If the horn is not working check the fuse and the fuse holder as this may need a clean.
