Re: 1970 Morris Minor 1000 2dr Trafalgar Blue RUN 634H

You my sir are a star, that all makes sense now :D I had bought and replaced the light as the old one was beyond dead like they all are, so i got a new one off esm, a new bulb and two new door push button bits (that tell it to come on when the door opens) as they had stuck closed. Put it all togethe...

Re: Disc brakes not bleeding

Yep they where fitted in 1998 I think so have been working for a long time but when I got the mog it was say for four years so they had all seized up and stuck on, so I got a refurbed set. Yep I've got new pads but it 100% isn't them bedding in as there are NO front brakes so I'll keep on bleeding t...

Re: Disc brakes not bleeding

I've got them to pump it a few times then released the nipple but only the once so i'll try that some more but there is not much pressure on the pedal but i'll get there. Where there's a will theres a way, i know that the pedal should be quite tough (tried my mates mini after the disc conversion) bu...

Disc brakes not bleeding

So i have just got some lovely refurbed calipers from bigg red as my old ones where seized and past there best but now i have got them all fitted they don't want to work. I can't get all the air out of them, i have bled front and back (and the fluid in the back was very rusty and horrible) but there...

Re: 1970 Morris Minor 1000 2dr Trafalgar Blue RUN 634H

BIG UP for Footman James!! .......... I was despairing that i'd need to sell my beloved Minor as the cheapest insurance quote I could get was £2600! TPF&F. Footman James comes in at half that for a Fully comp cover which is the same on provisional and full license. Althought it's still a big exp...

Another vote for Footman James' MMOC young members scheme. I was despairing that i'd need to sell my MM as the cheapest quote I could get was £2600! TPF&F. Footman James comes in at half that for a Fully comp cover which is the same on provisional and full license. Tho' still a big expense, is d...

Re: 1970 Morris Minor 1000 2dr Trafalgar Blue RUN 634H

Right not done much to her in a while, mainly as i have been fiddling with mx5's and just got the new turbo mx5, 230bhp :D Anyway I managed to get the dynamo apart (the bolts hadn't been off in many many years) and when i got it apart it was completely gummed up with rubbish, so i cleaned the commut...

Re: 1970 Morris Minor 1000 2dr Trafalgar Blue RUN 634H

I took the front panel and the rad off so I can clean everything up. Dynamo is off for new brushes, clean up and paint, and also the engine will be cleaned and re painted in bmc green, all rust will be sorted before bits going back on and rad well be all cleaned and polished. I'm going to take the c...

Re: 1970 Morris Minor 1000 2dr Trafalgar Blue RUN 634H

Its coming on well but currently not a lot is happening as i have been working on the mx5 and spraying parts for the 5 as well. I've changed the oil and put the new screw on conversion kit on and a few more bits and bobs but just niggly little things so that is why i did't put it up on the thread. X...

Re: Horn not working and faulty wipers and heater?

I've checked those fuses and they are fine and not blown. i have also cleaned the fuses and terminals up with a bit of emery cloth but i will spray some wd on them as well.
Also because my moggie is a late one i also have the inline fuse but that was fine as well but i cleaned that up anyway.
