Thanks guys.... got myself a gas - 90amp today.... Seems okay... I'll just have to get better at welding now :( 'coz I can't blame the old kn4ckered welder anymore !!!!!

Gasless MIG Welders

Hi all,

Has anyone tried these ? Are they okay to use ? I have the chance of a clarke 80amp one for about £120... or a 100amp opne for another £20 and my old one has died a death..... Over to the experts !!

A 35' long garage...... I wish I had one :( Kevin... its quite a useless thing really.... full to the brim with essential kit & stuff 'that will come in handy' :lol: In short a 35' long, 7' wide pile of STUFF !! I couldn't get a car near it, let alone in it :o Suppose I'd better have a shuffle ...

Will do mate.... I chose this coz' I had other uses for it too ! Painting an entire 3 bed extended house (outside) ..... A 35' long garage......About 35 6' fence panels.... a shed (wooden) and a shed (trafalgar blue) !!!!!! Apparently I can spray my hall, landing & stairs as well - which is nice...

Hi all, Not sure how this compares but I just found a whole Bosal replacement exhaust for a minor for £20 inc vat..... This seems like a good price to me from http://www.bodyshopwarehouse.co.uk/bosal/default.htm It does show what markup the guys like Formula1 are charging..... they quoted me almost ...

Yo Steve,

Sorted, sort of !! I am running the guage straight off an ignition live insted of the stabilizer. Seems okay now.. checked that it read properly with all electrics on... then off..... then revving it... then almost stall idling it and it doesn't seem to be bothered - so neither am i !! ;)

Well I did some sums....... Cheap compressor & really horrible gun from screwfix is about £100. its ungainly, can't be carried around very easily, makes loads of noise (as its small and is nearly always running when painting) and is very limited on what can be sprayed without buying more guns / ...

HVLP Sprayguns

Has anyone ever tried these newfangled hvlp electric sprayers ? I dont mean the ones you connect to a hoover - been there done that (and it worked !) I mean the proper made for the job electric spray guns, 1000w motors etc... they're around £60 - £120 As both my compressor & my trusty gun are up...

Would anyone here know if the head would be any good on my Ital 1300 engine ?
It needs reboring and new seals all round.... so the head / valves might as well get the treatment too ... a 1990 head sounds a much better start point than a 1978 one !
