Brooklands visit

Just returned after a great visit to the Austin/Morris day at Brooklands in Surrey. The selection of Minors was impressive and they looked resplendent in the sushine but I couldn't find a ''million'' amongst them. However, there were several other marques which made it a worthwhile trip.

NMG 534

Back in 1963 I purchased a new Minor 2 door saloon Reg No NMG 534 in Almond Green. It started life in Finchley north London and I'm wondering if it is still in existence or can anyone tell me how to find out what may or may not have happened to it.

Wedding Car Hire

In the latest Minor Matters is an advert ''Wedding Classic Car Hire''.Does anyone have any of knowledge or experience on this subject? I have been on their web site and they want £20 to be entered on their ''cars for a wedding'' site so before I commit myself,if I do, I would like any feed back from...

Brooklands

I have checked the Brooklands web site re March 11th.Yes we would use the Brooklands Road ( B374 ) entrance.Just turn up and the entrance fees are £10 (seniors £9) with a £1 discount if you come in an Austin or Morris car.You can opt to grant ''gift aid'' which will add about a £1 to these prices.

Re: Minoring in the snow

My friend Miriam is safe and sound and ''salt free'' in her own garage and will stay there until this mess is washed away. It's boring I know but it's my choice.Anyone going to the Austin-Morris day at Brooklands (Weybridge) in March ? If it's dry I shall be there.

Re: my first Minor

Thanks for info re '' my first minor '' I'm probably teaching you to 'suck eggs' but NMG was a Middlesex registration and I have found in a diary that I bought it in February 1963.Should I try and contact the Middlesex council if there is such a thing! Bob.

indicator switch

The indicator switch on my 1969 Minor has partly broken. When turning left the flashing arm does not ''click'' and stay in place, turning right is ok.Is this a replacable component or will I need to buy a whole switch?.
