Take the car with you - and enjoy it! Unless you have perfectly dry and secure storage - there will be lots to do when you return to it in 2 or 3 years time. With the always good weather, taking it with me sounds good, but my company does not even allow me to drive a car myself over there. I have a...

Morris in stock for 2 years
Hello,
I will move to Indonesia for 2 (or 3) years. My Morris is in good condition and I would like to keep it that way. How should I prepare it to be able to drive it with no problems in 2 (or 3) years from now?
Thanks for your reply,
Theo

RE: Re: pushrod
Thanks for your replies. I did check the fitting of the (new) shoes in the (machined) drums: they fitted very well I think. This weekend I adjusted the brakes again, and could add 1 more notch on the frontbrakes. By this it improved. I also checked the pushrod: It's hard to get a good view on the ac...

RE: smell
It is definately a petrol smell. I have a spare pipe available, and check if it's improved by replacing it.
I wasn't able to check the tank for rusted spots yet (lot of work
). But I will if that's the only possible cause left.
Thank you all for your help!

Fuel smell in boot
Hello, I allways have a slight fuel smell in the boot. I changed the seals of the fuel gauge (the square one), even sealed the screws, but it still smells after a day being closed. :-? I have not yet exchanged the rubber pipe between the tank and the filler. Could that cause the smell? If not, any s...

Thanks for your replies! Did you have long pedal travel before changing the parts? No I did not, but the drums were not even anymore and on the front wheels only one the cylinders was working. I had to adjust the brake shoes very close (even no free running without braking) to the drum to get a good...

Jack upside down?
Last weekend I found my left rear tyre flat after a short trip (arrived with a full tyre home, discovered the flat tyre after 1 hour). Tried to change the wheel with the tools I always carry in the car, so this would be a good practise if I would end miles from home. I have the (original?) triangle ...

Help! No Control box!
With the help of Mark (BrixtonMorris) I will probably have a wiper with automatic parking (thanks for sending me the parts Mark :) ). Trying to fix the problem I found the old wires, but... ... the wires in my '65 Minor follow a colorscheme of an 'earlier model with flashing indicator control' (acco...

6 years ago we took the money for our Tourer from savings we had in shares. Feeling not sure it was the right thing to do (shareprices were increasing every day that time). Now it is the best investment we did in years. The shares are less worth now, and the Morris at least kept it's value. 8) Maybe...
