I will move to Indonesia for 2 (or 3) years. My Morris is in good condition and I would like to keep it that way. How should I prepare it to be able to drive it with no problems in 2 (or 3) years from now?

Thanks for your replies. I did check the fitting of the (new) shoes in the (machined) drums: they fitted very well I think. It is definately a petrol smell. I have a spare pipe available, and check if it's improved by replacing it.

I wasn't able to check the tank for rusted spots yet (lot of work ). But I will if that's the only possible cause left.

How much pedal travel is normal? I changed the front wheel cylinders and brake shoes, bleeded and adjusted all 4 brakes. Now I can create blocking wheels by braking at 30 mph, but have to push the pedal almost up to the floor. Is this normal, or should I have smaller pedal travel?

I suspect this could be a strength and safety thing

I think you're right. I had to hammer the pin in, but it worked all very well. From now on I'm taking a hammer with me in my toolbox too.

How much would a new wiper-motor with gearbox cost?

There is no copper contact underneath the cover. It's a plain one piece cover with no central part i could turn. Is it possible this was a model used in the earlier Morris?

My Morris doesn't have the park switch on the gear cover. Needs to switch off by hand in the lower position. Did someone use the wrong spare for my 65 Tourer? Can I change the cover (with a switch)? Or do I have to change the whole motor with gearbox?

I guess the socket for the minor nuts is opposite the cut down one so you still have two side handles for spinning them.
