Sounds like I just saved the price of a new battery.

I have a spare battery that came out of a 2ltr diesel car that is in fair condition (the battery, not the car). It's obviously more powerful than the regular moggie batteries, but is there any reason why it can't be used in a traveller? It will fit in the battery compartment.

Washer successfully retrieved. It hadn't made it down to the bottom of the housing, so I'm glad I didn't ignore it.

I've only just bought these rubber bushes - excuse my ignorance, but how are Polyurethane better? I'm happy to be get what's best, so can update them next time I do a parts order, if necessary.

That's a good idea. When I spoke to a company a couple of years ago, they wanted about £70 to do it. I thought that was a bit steep. You can get a lot of Jubilee clips for £70!

I've had the prop shaft blasted and sprayed and there's probably a larger than average chance that it will need re-balancing. At least, that's what I reckon. Is this likely to be the case?
