Lovely to see someone giving a bit of TLC to a sad shell of a car.
I didn't realise you could buy the vinyl and I am encouraged by seeing someone respray in their garden. I don't have the luxury of a garage so i will certainly have a go myself when the time comes.

They look lovely and bright.
I think I might have a go myself. There is only so much old dirt you can clean off the vinyl!!

Re: Main Beam
Oh I forgot to say that there is a strange slow ticking noise coming from somewhere in the front when the engine is running.
I have been trying to remember if this is normal (I had a Traveller many years ago) but I can't remember!!!

Main Beam
Hi there,
When I press the floor switch to put on the main beam the headlights go out completely.
Also the fuel gauge doesnt go above half full even thought I have filled George up.
Anyone has any ideas about either problem?

Re: Growing Convoy for National
I am coming from Braunton, North Devon EX33 2PA. Would love to join the convoy but I don't know if I can guarantee being at a particular point at a particular time. I think it is going to take me about 6 hours if I can get George to chug along at 50. Also meeting family who are joining me for the we...

Hi, Whereabouts is Christow? It is not a place I know. I have only been a member for a few weeks but have learned lots on here. Everyone is very friendly and helpful and nearly every aspect of restoration is here. You just have to spend a few hours going through all the threads! I am trying to grapp...

What a lovely car.
Do you think the mileage is genuine? Surely it must be 129,000?
I don't know much about the Oxford. I assume the engine is not original!!

Re: Immobilisers ?
This topic is making me nervous.
The thought that someone might steal George mortifies me.
Are low lifes really interested in them?
Perhaps I should be thinking about an alarm. I like the sound of what alainmoran has done but I don't understand it!!!

Re: Worst Accessory Ever ????????
Oh Poor George. He has those horrible headlight peaks!!! I haven't worked out what use they are yet and it makes the car look like it is trying to be American!! Did they have a purpose? Can't think of any reason why you would want them on your car!! One of my jobs to do is to take them off. Sorry if...

Members in Devon
Hi there,
I was just wondering if there are any active members in the North Devon area?
Am I the only one? I see a couple of travellers around here but I haven't seen any other Moggys.
Are George and I here on our own?
It would be nice to meet up.

Re: National Rally
I do agree that 1500 is stupidly low as chris and ray pointed out. Personally i believe less than 10,000 is not a car used on a regular basis, and therefor not a 'working' minor. I disagree. At the moment until George is fully functional I am driving a 2001 Rover 25! I barely do 2,000 miles in it b...
