My MM has been running with the alloy mounting plate blanked off with a stainless steel plate for 15 years and now it has a proper water pump it is great. I hadn't thought of that. Would the water circulation then be the same as that on the original Morris 8 engine?

I have a 1937 Morris 8 with a Minor MM engine fitted. The water jacket disintegrated on removal - it had been leaking. Does anyone out there still have one available please? Thanks. Howard

A long story but I sold the car to my brother for £7 in about 1964 and later, when I had an early side valve Minor I bought another Minor for it's radiator as it was cheaper than buying a new radiator! I have a 1937 Morris 8 Tourer fitted with a USHM3 engine from a split screen Minor. The oil filter insert should have (I think) a steel disc underneath it but it is missing. Could anyone out there give me dimensions so that I could make one please?
