again thanks so much, would it be better to fit the van body work onto a chassis or does it make no difference. I just need to get the cash together to buy all the panels.

wow thanks one and all, ive been away for a few days and was surprised with all the tips pictures and advice. i will be taking the roof off. it sounds like the best way to go, i also like the idea of bolting the roof back on. lots more pictures would be very much appreciated. again thank you all nick

thanks everyone, I took the car back today and they found that the alternator was faulty, don't know how it failed. Thanks for that, The alternator was fitted buy Nacton Auto electrics in ipswich. they are very good and have done loads of work for me in the past, So I shall call them tomorrow & arrange for them to look at it.

Hi, That’s given me an idea. The version of the digger I have has a removable 10HP Honda engine with the hydraulic pump that can then be used on its own as a breaker. (I have the army version of the digger). I can only just lift the engine etc. so that should lighten the digger enough. Thanks for th...
