I have replaced my front wheel bearings with tapered rollers about 30 years ago. You need to remove the spacer between the bearings, and leave it out when re-assembling the hubs. If it's heat insulation that you need, I have used those sun reflective styrene and silver foil shades meant for covering your windscreen on hot sunny days. Hi Alan, You have probably had your Master Cylinder replaced by now, but I have had my Series II for over 50 years, driven daily. I had my Master Cylinder and Wheel cylinders sleeved with stainless steel more than 35 years ago, and have never had any fluid loss, or worn rubber boots in all that time...
