I've rotated the distributor with the clamp loosened so that the points are open and closed and the test bulb remains off throughout.

Hi I've just replaced my seized 1098 engine with an A+1275 Ital engine, I have an alternator that came with yet another engine (Marina 1275), it has 3 spade connections on the back (2 large, 1 smaller) it looks like there used to be a plug which fitted onto these connections but I don't have it.
