The mountings are handed. I have just done the same thing myself, managed to fit them the wrong way round. The result is the gearbox and engine sit further forward than they should. I also wondered why the relay shaft was at an odd angle but didnt realise my mistake until I tried starting up whereup...

Anyone done a gearbox rebuild? The books tell you, after removing third motion shaft, to drift first motion shaft out from the back but the shaft has a toothed cone at the rear end which prevents it coming out of the front of the box.
