Re: scuse my ignorance but......

Thanks John will do as you suggest & check the other parts. The last Moggy i had was 5 years ago & i lived close by to a specialist so i used to get him to grease the car for me.Using the grease gun was totally alien to me but its very satisfying if you do it yourself...eventually...and right!

Hi Bazzalucas.I bought a grease gun that had a tube of high temp wheel bearing grease with it.Is this okay?

scuse my ignorance but......

I have checked through some old posts but i'm not sure what i'm doing when it comes to greasing the trunnions. I've jacked up,removed wheel as suggested.Unscrewed the nipples, removing them completly. Then tried to pump some grease in the hole(my first time of using a grease gun)by holding the nipple ...

Re: Deisel

I drive my Minors enthusiastically, no point in dropping a 1275 in and not using it. I use the fuel gauge to see if I have enough petrol to make the next filling station. What's 40mpg? I agree Mike.I've never chosen a car because of its MPG.Unless your doing serious miles every week it's never gonn...

Re: 1970's rally documentary

I used to have that on video. Was a mk1 & 2 escort owner through the 90's.From Vans, estates, populars to a 'big wing' mk1 rally car with a 2.0l pinto that used to snap leafsprings if you wellied it from standstill. My fav was my black mk2 rs2000 that i sold for £1800 in 2003.Dread to think what its...

Re: given a blank cheque...

Be difficult to limit it to one car.I'd buy an old aircraft hanger & fill it with loads of classics but number one priority would be a MK1 LOTUS CORTINA

Re: What did you drive in 1985

I was riding my Vespa px125 or my Lambretta Li150 to Scooter rallies all over the uk.Followed by my mate in his trusty back up moggy van.Which 3 of us used to sleep in,in the back. While my mate slept in the front.Stuck my scooter in the back for a lift home in torrential rain one rally.
