Re: What are these holes in the footwell?
Hi Mike,
Thanks for the post. I assumed that it wasn't for a dipswitch as this would put it right under the left hand pedal. Maybe the pedal arrangement was quite different on the left-hand drive models. I still don't know what the rectangular hole is for.

What are these holes in the footwell?
I am well through the total restoration of my 1963 traveller. I am now working on the passenger compartment and have realised that there are two holes in the passenger footwell and I have no idea why they are there. As you can see in the photo, one is round and has two smaller holes for securing a c...

Where to buy Traveller timber
I have decided to bite the bullet and replace all the wood on my Traveller. I have done a complete bare metal rebuild, so it makes senses to finish it off properly I would be grateful to hear of experiences with the various timber suppliers. In particular, has anyone bought complete frames from Trav...

Re: Horn positions - help please!
Once again, thanks very much for the information and photographs - these have been really helpful. The horns I have are the same as the ones in the last photograph posted by IaininTenbury, so I'll go ahead and fit them to the inner wings. Ill have to make up a couple of brackets as mine have got los...

Horn positions - help please!
I am completely rebuilding my 1964 traveller, which I've had for about 32 years! At some point in the past I fitted air horns and am now putting things back as they should be. I have a pair of original Lucas Horns and cannot for the life of me work out exactly where they fit or if they need any brac...

Re: Can someone help with chassis leg dimensions please
Thanks for the responses. Having thought about it more, I agree that it is important to get the gearbox properly located in the propshaft and to have the engine mounts correctly set up. Although my relay shaft location is only 1/4" different to the one measured by Taupe, it looks further out in...

Re: Can someone help with chassis leg dimensions please
Hi "Taupe", Many thanks for taking the trouble to get those measurements for me. On my car the total distance from the front of the cross member to the eye bolt is exactly the same as on yours, so I did weld the front chassis sections in correctly. However, on mine, the relay shaft is 1/4&...

Re: Can someone help with chassis leg dimensions please
Thanks for the quick responses. I agree about the eyebolts being more important but I can't be 100% certain that they are in the correct position without the dimensions I asked for. I have considered re-locating the relay shaft mounting, but it is going to be a pig of a job as they have continuously...

Can someone help with chassis leg dimensions please
I have just re-joined the club after 20 years away, and this is my first post! I am in the middle of a complete rebuild of my 1963 Traveller and have done a lot of work on the underneath including welding in new front chassis leg sections. I have fitted the engine and gearbox and then to my horror f...
