What an idiot I feel so stupid.It was the rocker cover gasket,I've only got about ten spare ones sitting on the shelf.

Unfortunately I changed the clutch because it was slipping last month.l thought at the time it looked as if it was contaminated and came to the conclusion it was slipping because it was on the rivets.I will go and warm up the engine and let you know.

Engine oil leaking on to clutch

Just had a 300 mile trip and used two gallons of oil,with the clutch slipping.I did clean the breather pipes from the crank and rocker cover and oil cap before I left .

I travel to Wales 4 times a year in my Morris ,it's a 600 mile trip.My spares are a fan belt oil and water with some tools.I have gone over to electric points only because it's a bit hard to fix in the dark.

People in the past have offered me cars for spare parts.I have let them go because I haven't got the space or the hart to brack any Morris only to hear that that have been scraped at a later date.
