Re: Informing DVLA

Hi, I have now got a bench seat in my pick up complete with 3 seat belts (plus a 1275cc conversion).

Do I need to tell them that the seating has changed and will I need an engineers report/inspection of some sort?

Cheers,

Re: Custom Pickup Restoration

Hi, I noticed that your seat back appears to be vertical. You may want to angle it slightly. I have a Golf rear seat in my pick up (still in re-build stage) and this initially went in vertically and even sitting in it for just a few minutes proved to be uncomfortable.

Re: Bertie my '64 Pick up.

Hey Andre, Nice to hear from you. Bertie's cab is now painted and the windows are back in. Dave is currently sorting out the wiring loom. The engine re-build has been completed and the engine should be dropped in soon. I hope to be on the road in spring! Sorry but the original bed has gone, are you ...

Re: Bulkhead seal?

Just below this seal I've got 4 holes about 1/8" in the bulkhead, what are these for?

Does anything attach to them or can I just put a grommet in them?

Cheers,

Bertie my '64 Pick up.

Here's Bertie as I got him just over a year ago. He's fitted with a 1275, which has just finished it's re-build and includes a few tweaks to improve his performance. Marina discs, servo etc:[frame] http://mmoc.org.uk/mbimage.php?src=1320154531_12991 [/frame] Here he is today. He's going to be a rest...

Sign writing.

Hi, I'm currently in the process of restoring/customising my Moggy pick up. In order to enhance it's overall look I'd like to get some period style sign writing on the doors. Can anyone recommend a good artist reasonably close to me, maybe with some photos of their work. I live in North Herts. Thank...

Re: Identifying half shafts.

My problem is I have a pair that have come out of a '64 pick up, as I have fitted uprated ones. I would like to sell the original items but they haven't been labelled.

Identifying half shafts.

Hi all,

if you have two half shafts sitting in the workshop, can their position (i.e. nearside or offside) be identified from a visual inspection?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Re: Custom Pickup Restoration

Hi there,

That's a great build you've got going on. I am also restoring a Moggy Pick-Up and I'm putting an Austin A40 Pick-Up bed on the back. However I just have the panels and no floor section.

How are you attaching your bed to the chassis? Any piccies would be a great help.

Cheers,
