hi guys! i was finally able to drive it yesterday. the transmission shifts well, the rear end doesn't growel, and the steering feels good
the clutch is slipping a bit though

Whoa! Where on earth did that battery come from? Very surreal looking, and it could do with something to stop it moving forwards when the massive power of the brakes is unleashed :) . The fuel pump is too noisy and almost certainly deliver too much pressure the SU carb is only expecting 2 psi. many...

Welcome to the forum - the regulator can be kept as a 'junction box' only - it doesn't regulate the alternator in any way!
