hi guys! i was finally able to drive it yesterday. the transmission shifts well, the rear end doesn't growel, and the steering feels good :D
the clutch is slipping a bit though :o

Whoa! Where on earth did that battery come from? Very surreal looking, and it could do with something to stop it moving forwards when the massive power of the brakes is unleashed :) . The fuel pump is too noisy and almost certainly deliver too much pressure the SU carb is only expecting 2 psi. many...

hi guys, yesterday i got out the timing light to check the timing, but i don't see any pointers or marks :o
also what should the timing be set at?

Welcome to the forum - the regulator can be kept as a 'junction box' only - it doesn't regulate the alternator in any way! In UK we would need to convert the car to -ve earth before fitting an alternator yes, i did convert it, after doing some reading here on the forum. i do still need to clean my ...
