Can anyone recommend a restorer in the Forest of Dean area? After the long mean winter my daily driver has started to show her age I'm presently restoring a very old cottage and won't have much time this year to do the work myself.

I've had 2 stormforce covers , one of them bought 3 years ago and is only used in bad weather is still like new. The other is 5 years old and has been on my saloon everytime its wheels stop moving which must be 23 hours out of every 24 and is only now getting to the gaffer tape stage.

The bottom pivot pin thing on the quarter light frame is shorter for some reason on split screen models and in order to fit a later quarter light you have to shorten it with a hacksaw.

Interesting! very similar plate to a minor pickup I owned many years ago , that was DPH314J and came originally from Reading.

Hi, I am based in Cheltenham and have just spent the last 6 months re-commisioning a very messed around with 54 split screen so know many of the pitfalls and the availability of early bits, if you would like me to have a look give me a shout.

The new wiper motor went in ok and works but the poor girl is missing a wheel box, lots of later ones came with her but they are obviously different, time for part hunting again!

I have just aquired a series 2 ,4 door saloon from ebay that requires some "minor" fettling to get back on the road but no welding! totally solid with no rot or patches! :D . One of the many small items that requires attention is the wiper motor ,there is enough bits to hopefully build up ...

The tailgate chains would have originally had protective sleeves over them made of vinyl matching the interior trim ,just simply folded over into a tube and stitched.

Engine oil seems to work well on already rusted areas. The boot floor was full of water and quite rusty on my car when bought 25 years ago so as a temporary fix I tipped a cup full of used oil in it. I used to own one till about ten years ago BDW605C, but had it painted maroon b when I restored it due to finding an immaculate and very cheap red interior! Does it still exist?[frame][/frame]
