Thanks David, Not as easy a job as I first thought but the finished look was well worth it, who knows perhaps I might even enter her in the odd show or two.

23/12/10 Rear lights and new number plate bring the car closer to origional spec....still not sure on the kick plates though....[frame][/frame]

23/12/10 Had a new set of metal period number plates made for a staggering £50, but doesn't it make a difference ![frame][/frame]

You can phone HPI in Salisbury and they can do a check under the full chassi number, or alternitivley you can do this online.

Bought new rear lights today and period number plates,hopefully will fit next week depending on the snow............

Took the back light off today and, hey what do you know same problem as the front! A five minute job is going to turn into a much longer one me thinks....

Nothings ever as easy as you think,bought correct lights for the front of the car and was all excited to fit them today only to find that when I removed the later editions someone had drilled extra holes in the wing to make them fit. If I fit the correct ones there are two gaping holes left on view,...

I have driven it, definately not for the faint hearted and a much quicker 0-60 than what we're used to.

Not mine unfortunately, I did offer a straight swap for my Million but he was having none of it

PS you might have three too many noughts on your Million message lol

The car you have seen is chassi number 185, I own chassi number 80 reg 336AW0, not many left only 350 produced you may find more info on the Morris Minor Million site.

Good news, 336AWO is on the road for another year!

Interestingly enough my 64 Minor thats being restored has the white front light including indicator and also the rear brake/indicator in the one peice red so if I'm lucky since the wiring has been upgraded then mabey they will work........... here's hoping!

I just think the correct front and rear lights will make the car origional again,the last owner spent £4700 having her restored and then put the later indicators on which to my mind detracts from its beauty. After the MOT I will attend to the front and rear indicators to bring back to origional,as to the alloy sills I quite like them so undecided as yet.
