Hi I wonder if anyone can help?
My previous Moggy was a 1968 convertible, and it had an under the bonnet push/pull starter on the solenoid, great when installing new ignition bits etc.
i now have a 1968 pick up which Im slowly tidying the engine bay up.
Can you still get them?

Interesting, i have the same as but for all the other moggies.
Does that particular workshop manual cover the Pick-up, including panel structure, as Im trying to locate the back panels and tailgate.
Also would like to confirm spring hangers and the like for the undercarriage.

Hope youre restoration has gone well.
Ive got a pickup, but I would like to replace the back end as its not original etc.Looks good but not the same.
Did you have to locate new rear panels etc, if so where did you manage to get them from.

1987 in my third Mog, a lovely convertible, I happily drove through France in to Italy, and back home. Not one problem even after 4000 miles, same engine and gearbox etc since it was made. Clunk test all good,
Dashpot oil all good.
Fuel pump pushing out fuel good.
Carb cleaned, floatboel emptied, flushed, all filled up etc.

Thank you for the advice.
I've opted for a better quality coil and Ill see if that resolves the problem.

Thanks for all comments, Back story : I drove home 60 miles after buying Moggy, all drove fine. Arrived home, went to restart after a cuppa, wouldn't fire up. Plugs, leads all fine. Wiring to coil form distributor all sorted.[ 3 wires all in correct place., all checked and cleaned for good contact] ...

Well, I've looked at the fuel pump and its not an SU, its some dodgy looking creation that hasnt been mounted onto the battery housing as usual. I'm thinking its best to replace with proper SU carb first? Any ideas where best to get a replacement? Also looking at the distributor, I cant see the vacu...

Just chnages clutch since 1988
Same engine and gearbox.
Still going fine
