Re: spam to MMOC email address?
^^ Nothing of that kind is happening I can assure you!. There are firms these days with computers running programmes just trawling email addresses to send spam to. Totally random. I have an email address set up only for close family use. Only used it twice. They've found it and now I'm getting emai...

Re: spam to MMOC email address?
Now and then we get some idiots posting some weird stuff here in a foreign language, whats that all about? I don't understand all this spam etc business, why do these things happen and what are they trying to achieve. Yes, I daresay its obvious to most but not to me. A foreign language post could b...

Re: spam to MMOC email address?
ANY forum is wide open to abuse - still don't see it as an MMOC problem. But why worry - just block the sender ! Any forum is wide open to abuse, agreed, but you seem to be missing the point. This forum and MMOC hold our email addresses and contact details in a database. The fact that at lea...

Re: spam to MMOC email address?
So -you don't actually have an 'mmoc' email address -you have simply created your own by sticking 'mmoc' in front of your supplier address?? Can't see it's anything to do with the MMOC then ! As the email address mmoc@... is only ever used on this forum and as part of my registration and con...

Re: spam to MMOC email address?
Fantastically unlikely to get mmoc@...PSL184 wrote:It's nothing at all to do with any site being hacked.
The spammers just send mass mails to addresses at random.

spam to MMOC email address?
This morning I got a phishing email to my MMOC email address, the forum admins should probably have a look for evidence of the site being hacked!

Re: Replacing glove box inners and surrounds
Once one has been to Oxford and bought a hat and cravat for the outing on Sunday I'll be beautifying the old girl, don't ask about the outfit...
If it turns out to be any more than total rubbish I'll post a wee piccie! So it'll be that good I'll post a couple! ;-)
Thanks for the ideas thus far...

Re: Replacing glove box inners and surrounds
I have the speedo with the ally surround and yes I bought both sides. My glove boxes did have a silvery trip that was separate from the liner before so these are different. The trim is not fixable to the edge of the glove box as it doesn't have the flat surface it is simply a horseshoe cross section...

Replacing glove box inners and surrounds
After replacing the carpets in my 1964 convertible the glove box inners and surrounds looked so shabby they had to be refreshed too. One was damaged so that was my excuse! I ordered some new ones from morrisminor.org.uk and they arrived promptly and are very smart. The problem is I have no idea on t...

Re: Fog light switch bulb
Thanks for the bulb link!
The system is going to be an MP3 player, an amp and a pair of speakers hidden the "glove box" recesses either side of the speedo so there will be no need for permanent power.

Fog light switch bulb
I have decided to put some sound in my 1964 convertible and, as I don't have fog lights, have decided to repurpose the fog light switch (low down near the drivers door) as a system on/off switch. I noticed when cleaning the switch that the barrel has room for a bulb that illuminates the white dot at...
