Re:
Paignton is the junction between the main national rail network and the Paignton - Kingswear privately owned steam line. It's a very steep incline from Paignton and last time I was on the Torbay Express (steam hauled from Bristol Temple Mead by a Battle of Britain 4-6-0) we got stuck and had to be ...

Re: VIN and registration area Decoders
To get build years correct, would need to separate both passenger & LCV chassis nos. 501 - 1294082 501 - 327368 Bit of a fiddle, but build year for CKD's could be done - disclamer stating up to 3yrs (LCVs only) later than Hm.Mkt. models - whereas PKD's generally a year later. For example, 159xxx...

Re: VIN numbers - Series II
I'm a first time user here so please excuse any faux pas. I have what was advertised as a 1953 Series II Morris Minor. It has a VIN number beginning 223(???). I have just received a BMIHT Heritage Certificate stating that the vehicle was built in October 1955. It has the 'cheese grater' grill, spli...

Interesting to uncover what Minor's are NEG or POS
BMC, BLMC or BL
MM 918cc's too
Early AddPk Travellers had a J suffix to their chassis nos.

Re: Variation on the engine number queries
As MM says, 10V after 4/69 - 10ME also used up to c8/69 - but generally, HC is passenger car & LC is LCV.
10MA prefix would make it 1962/3!!
A 10V will have a sml plastic breather pipe going over the engine.
