Re: cigarette lighter

This may sound like a silly question, but where can I get a cigarette lighter from? Can I just buy one from Ebay or do I need a special one (for a special car!)?

Re: Wiper failure

Hi all, Thanks for all of your help. On closer inspection of the motor, I discovered that the cover of the moving piece (attaching motor to actual wipers) had been completely removed. I thought that was what it was meant to look like! Luckily we managed to find the offending article and reattach it ...

Re: Wiper failure

Thank you for all the answers. It was my daughter posting and she promptly went out for the day (and eve, to the theatre) after asking. I think she followed some of your answers and appears to have fixed it. I will get her to let you all know tomorrow, exactly what she found. Again, thanks for helpi...

Re: Wiper failure

Tried as suggested, no luck. Had a look in the engine, all components seem to be ok, no jamming or jerky movements and everything's fixed tight. Have also checked fuses and they look to be fine. It seems to be a mechanical issue with the wipers themselves. If I pull them down they will go up, just n...

Wiper failure

Hi all, Yesterday, after having braved a 70+ mile adventure for the first time in my 1970 minor 1000, my windscreen wipers decided to give up the ghost, just as it started to rain. They are stuck in the upright position (as they will go up but not down?), I can hear the motor running and the arms je...

Re: Window winder replacement

Thankyou for all your suggestions. Went out and had a go, got about halfway through to discover that yes, it is very bent, to the point we cant get it out! Getting in touch with our local mech who is rebuilding his own for the finishing touches :) (Window is currently duct taped up! Oh what a day. ....

Window winder replacement

For starters, I apologise to all if this is in the wrong place. I'm new to all of this and I can't quite figure out where to put this post! I have a lovely but infuriating Morris Minor 1000, 4dr Saloon, 1098cc called Millie. The other day I used my super human strength when winding up the drivers si...

Apart from dressing as an eskimo, does anyone have any tips for keeping warm in the winter in your mog?

number plate older than car

The v5c says Millie was first registered in May 70, but the number plate is a '65. I think it may have been personalised.

is there any way of finding out what her original number plate was?

thanks

I bought Millie with the intention of using her everyday . . . is this wrong? Is she just too old for all that malarky? Its her 40th in May .. . please be nice to me :D :D :D ...

Newbie . . .and worried now!

Hello all .. I am picking my moggie up tonight (I am SOOO excited!), but having spent a little (yeah right!) while on these boards, I am wondering if I have taken too much on. She has a '65 plate and looks ok to me, but have I just committed myself to an age of hard work and money? I know nothing ab...
