Hello Rob, I'd contribute to your effort, so please keep me online for a set.
Thanks, and a happy 2018 to the MM owners

Re: mm - alta head wanted
Hello, I am thinking that my beautiful MM Tourer deserves to be brought back to her original maroon and, as she will be stripped bare for the process next winter, it would be nice to fit a overhead valve head conversion, Alta or any other, to improve on her meager power (any alternative suggestion w...

Re: 1949 MM Gear Nob
Just trying to tie up loose ends, a couple of prototypes are undergoing tests and it is hoped that production will go ahead in a couple of weeks. Please note that this is not a large scale factory production, but one Series MM owner producing them in small batches virtually to order Hello Mike, as ...

Re: Gears too short, new rims
Hello, we did discuss the 'speedometer' topic a few years ago when I recommissioned my MM, and this is the '1000' kph sped that I have: http://www.stefanopasini.it/images/MM_Speedometer.jpg (Dash has subsequently been repainted in its correct gold.) Actually I'm not worried by the lack of accuracy o...

Re: Gears too short, new rims
Dear Mike, thank you for your reply, tomorrow I'll check for the numbers on the diff. Do you think that changing the tires from 145x14 radials to 520x14 crossplies, i.e. passing to a diameter of 610 mm, could have a decisive effect on the top speed of the MM or will the impact be negligible? Ty for ...

Gears too short, new rims
Dear friends, I'm using the MM these days and I appreciate some more details that I need to rectify. Thanks to Mike for its kind message about my idea of fitting a tonneau cover; driving the car, however, a much more annoying shortcoming of my car is the fact that the gearing seems very low. Yesterd...

Tonneau Cover for MM Tourer
Hello everybody, I am driving my 1949 MM these days, enjoying the nice Italian September sunshine (as you did in England for most part of July and August, I'm told! :D ). As I use the Tourer only when the sky is really blue and no clouds are forecast for days, I don't like to have to put the hood up...

1949 MM glovebox badge colors
Hello everybody,
I have received from a fellow MMOC member an original repainted metal glovebox badge for my 1949 Tourer. Where can I find a decent picture of a badge in its original colors so I can check mine and have it repainted, if necessary?
Thank you
Stefano

Re: Michelangelo Antonioni and the MM
Does anyone know what make and model the dark coloured car passing the Minor is? Regards Ian Hello Ian, it is a first-series Lancia Aurelia Berlina (4-door saloon); unfortunately I cannot say for sure if it is a B10, B12 or B22 as they are quite similar outside, the differences being mainly in the ...

Congratulations. The cap is on the wrong way round :( . /turn it round so that the lettering is the correct way up when you are stood in front of the car :) Hello Mike, you're right, the lettering on the cap faces the wrong way and I obviously don't like this. Sadly, for some reason, the cap will n...

Michelangelo Antonioni and the MM
Dear friends, I managed to find a relatively obscure Antonioni movie about the dark side of the movie business (La Signora Senza Camelie, 1953) and a MM Tourer appears in a scene at the beginning of the movie, who stars also a young and very beautiful Lucia Bosé. I hope that you will enjoy a couple ...

Re: MM speedo
Hello, this is the picture of my speedo before the partial restoration of my 1949 MM: http://www.stefanopasini.it/images/MM_Speedometer.jpg The number on the dial is 1000 so maybe a Series II speedo was fitted when the MM was imported in Italy, around 1954-58,to cope with the Italian law that, at th...

Hello,
having found the trafficators for my MM (thanks Barry) I am looking for the correct switch. Is this eBay item the right one? The seller does not specify if it is.
Thanks
Stefano

Re: Trafficators
Hello, thank you for your useful answers, I have alreay placed a bid on those brackets and solenoids. Dear Mike, the trafficators were deleted years ago and I think that the whole rear panels were replaced with later panels without the slots, as no sign of welding is visible inside once we removed t...

Hello from Italy! I have pulled the Tourer out of hybernation yesterday, as the weather is warm (33°c) and very sunny, perfect for open-top motoring! My Tourer drives well and I am thinking of having her homologated with FIVA to apply for some international events next year. The first thing to do wi...

Re: Air cleaner for a 1949 Tourer
Dear friends, in a previous message I mentioned that my MM had a strange problem, i.e. the fuel pump tickling furiously and never ceasing as it would be supposed to do. Following Mike's suggestion, I checked the fuel lines for leaks, but to no avail; no leaks, no fuel dripping down, nothing visible....

Re: Air cleaner for a 1949 Tourer
Hello everybody, the Pasinis' MM spent several months (since October,, in fact) in her heated garage, dutifully covered, the battery connected to a trickle charger. Now I am ready to use here again, as the weather now is exceedingly good, sunny and warm. I have tried to start her some days ago, but ...
