Morris Minor Traveller Price guide
I am a liittle confused at the moment about traveller prices. :-? On one hand you have the likes of Charles Ware pricing his travellers at between £6,000-£14,000 and other classic car dealers pitching in at £6995 etc but private individuals pricing theirs at anything between £750- £5500. :( I recent...

MGB + Gearbox into a Morris Traveller
Hello, Has anyone fitted an MGB 1800cc engine and overdrive gearbox into a Morris Traveller, and I mean the engine bay and transmission tunnel, not into the back just to get it home. Or any other engine /overdrive gearbox combinations that work well.? Do not really want to go Fiat Twincam or Zet...

Re: Engine and Gearbox upgrade.
Why I am asking is because I have been down the Midget 1275 engine route with Minor gearbox and different diff plus Wolseley front brakes about 30 years ago. Times have changed and cars we were robbing parts from for nearly next to nothing are not about in plentiful supply any more, people are restor...

Engine and Gearbox upgrade.
Hello, I would like to give my Traveller an engine and gearbox upgrade. :D Most people in the past used Midget 1275 engines with Ford 5 speed gearboxes, then Fiat Twincam with 5 speed gearboxes. :D What is the best route to go now.? I would like extra power ,5 speed gearbox, ease of fitting and reliab...

Re: Do I buy a saloon converted into a convertible.
I know you can only value something if you can see and inspect it,but you need a base to work from. For instance a convertible in condition 1....£5250.00 A saloon in condition 1....£4000.00 With a converted saloon made into a convertible, where do you start from? i.e £4625...in between the two? Regar...

Re: Do I buy a saloon converted into a convertible.
Hello,Thank you for that reply. Is the convertible in your garage a genuine one or converted? How do you put a valuation on a converted saloon. The price guides only give you an indication of standard cars. Any thoughts please. Kind Regards Mark.

Re: Oil Filler Midget Back Axle
The engine is a Midget 1275,and the rear axle was modified to suit. We were told it was a Midget back axle. Or did they mean Midget crown and pinion in a Minor axle? Anyway it certainly cruises along a lot better than standard!! I have now filled the axle with oil through the breather vent,no proble...

Re: Oil Filler Midget Back Axle
What you are saying is that if the axle ratio was changed,a blanking plate was put in place of the coventional cover which would have had the filler bung in it? Why did they have to do this? Would they have fitted a Midget crown and pinion into the Morris axle. I know my way round classic Jaguars,th...

I think I am going mad!! :( I have been draining and replacing all the fluids today, and checking the car over for the MOT. My car has a Midget rear axle. :D Most axles have the filler halfway up the rear casing, but not on this one!! :-? I have hunted round and round the axle casing, all I can find is...

I have sorted the back of the car out. :D When purchased the car had aftermarket alloy wheels fitted. :) We decided to change these for minilites. :D This is when things did not look right. :-? The wheels and tyres looked not quite right in the wheelarches. :( Upon investigation it appeared the car ...

Further to my other topic i.e Lowering the traveller. To start from a level playing field I would like to know the standard height of the vehicle. :-?
