Re: Stiff Clutch Pedal
Problem solved! I disconnected the foot pedal from the linkage The foot pedal was the source of the problem, the nut on the end of the clutch shaft was too tight.
Thanks for the advice everybody

Stiff Clutch Pedal
Hello, Im having problems with the clutch pedal on my 1970 Traveller restoration. Its so stiff that the pedal, when pushed down, doesn't return despit the return spring being connected. Everything is new, and well lubricated, the car has had extensive welding including a new chassis leg on the right...

Newton Commercial Order Lead Times
Hello, just a word of warning to anyone doing an interior re-trim like me. Newton Commercial is quoting 2 month lead times for quite a few of the bits they offer, like carpet and head lining. They also don't quote any sort of stock levels on their website. I went to good old ESM and they had everyth...

Re: Traveller Rear Seat Springs and Captives
Thanks all for the help and advice. I've gone with a sort of darning technique with wire to try and hold the mesh together. Moving onto fittin the covers wish me luck!

Thanks for the advice. I'm going to work with what I've got for now on the "better the devil you know" principal. But thanks very much for the offer.

Re: Traveller side window channels
I drilled mine roughly every 6 inches. Also beware when cutting the outer channel with the stainless steel trim. after cutting the trim can come off the channel and its an absolute swine to get back on again, if you crimp the end of the trim where you cut it and squeeze it onto the channel material ...

Traveller Rear Seat Springs and Captives
Hello! I'm just dismantling the rear seat on my 1970 Traveller. The insides were a bit of a mess partially due to a mouse having taken up residence in the back...I found it's mummified remains :o The innards of the seat appear to be a custom mesh top spring unit. Re: Trying to get Small Concours Details right on a 1970 Traveller
The car was built at Adderly park, it has the A in the car number. It was definitely Almond Green originally, so I'm guessing it was built in 1969 and sold and registered in 1970. I have realised the wheel arch covers I bought were for an earlier car so are wrong anyway. So I'm thinking a grey rear ...

Trying to get Small Concours Details right on a 1970 Traveller
I'm just working on my 1970 Almond Green Morris Traveller, fitting out the back and working forward. I'm trying to get it to a Concours standard (emphasis on the trying) :o I've fitted a new headlining. I was told, by the people at ESM, that the 1970 Almond Green Travellers had a "fleck" h...

Traveller Interior Light Earth
Hello, I'm just getting the wiring in for the interior/courtesy light in my 1970 Traveller. See Picture. I'm not convinced by the Earth wire setup. Looking at the wiring diagram it appears there's a black earth wire that runs back from the light, down the windscreen pillar and connects into the loom...

can anyone advise what size and type of nails to use to hold down the metal rear roof on my Traveller? I took the roof off 3 years ago and I didn't keep the nails and now can't remember what they were  Also, if I'm reading The Complete Companion book by Ray Newell correctly it recommends fitti...

rubber bumper in upper window channel on traveller
I'm just in the process of fitting the window channels to the new timbers on my Traveller. There was a rubber bump stop fitted to the end of the channel pictured below
I need a replacement as I couldn't get the old ones off. ESM don't sell them, does anyone have any tips?
