Linearaudio, can you recommend which model of Apollo/Earlex you used - seem to be lots of different types on fleabay? And does this work OK with cellulose?

Hmmm. I'd baulk at £35 + VAT & PP (commercial secondhand price for the cover) just to save a few teaspoons of oil from an A-series engine. I reckon felt (with lots of goose-grease) is probably OK for a few miles anyway - the previous one had been on there for about 25 years! Part of my leaking p...

Hi, Many thanks for all the useful tips on this thread - the "Starter motor" trick worked well for both the starter dog and also the camshaft gear nut. Question: My 940 timing cover has an interesting indent, looks like it was deliberately hit with a chisel from the inside (see pic). Doers...
