I have the same trouble and I like you, do not know how to correct it. Please give me a clue if you find out how to do it.

Re: Boot Lid Seal
Just fitted a new boot seal without the self adhesive side and fixed it with Evo-stik that seems to have worked very well. Just beware if placing the seal without removing the boot lid from the car, that the glue doesn't drip on the paint, so protect the painted surface underneath (bumper etc.) as t...

Re: Chrome bonnet lift handle
I had one of those tiny tins that I had left over from painting my grandson's kit aeroplanes, the enamel red was just right for the bonnet handle so did the painting myself....looks fantastic even if I say so myself...no need to buy new! :D :D[frame] http://mmoc.org.uk/mbimage.php?src=1295280740_106...

Re: Quarter Lights
Thanks Rob. The rubbers do not need replacing, so I will take your tip when fitting the new quarter lights and use some shampoo with anti dandruff anyway.

Many thanks, you make it sound so easy....I believe you.....when given two choices I always pick the wrong one so it sounds as if there is only one way to do it ....I can't go wrong.......can I?
Thanks again

Quarter Lights
Before scratching the paint, losing screws, putting the screwdriver through the seals or tearing the door cards, can someone advise how easy (or difficult) is it to take out the old and fit new quarter lights to a 1966 Minor?

Re: Door window quaterlight rubbers
Hello Rob, Just had mine done professionally by ESM, costly but worth it to me as I also would not know where to begin. I believe that the door cards have to be removed, this exposes the bolts that hold the quarter lights. Somebody should be able to give you a step by step guide. Tony :)[frame] http...

Re: where do i stand
It would be nice to know what company you are talking about but I assume that would be against MMOC policy by giving out this information. Can this be overcome with a PM perhaps as I have also had problems of this nature.[frame]

They have done a fair amount of work for me and I am very satisfied with the service. Thanks for the positive comments, I was lucky enough to get a blue rosette as runner up in my car's Class 1950-1970 vehicles at the Tunbridge Wells Autorama rally a couple of weeks ago, a good feeling, makes all th...

Don't panic Adrian, I have sent you a PM, it is a very busy workshop and Steve is the kingpin, I am sure he has a good reason for not being available.

I have had 155 Toyo tyres put on all four corners as recommended by ESM Workshops. They ride and feel very well and I have had no problems so far.

Re: Series 2 morris Minor
I had a 1953 Series 11 many years ago in 1962 and used it in London traffic without problems, since then I have had many cars and last year I decided to get a Morris Minor Series 11 again purely for nostalgic reasons. As normally happens in life, one of these in good condition did not appear at the ...

Re: What's your Morris Minor worth to you?
http://www.classic-car-accessories.co.uk/acatalog/index.html Go to miscellaneous then exhaust accessories. It looks like this on the car and although may look a bit large, it sounds good and adds more of a chrome finish to the exhaust rather than steel. I am about to leave for the National Rally. I...

Re: What's your Morris Minor worth to you?
Morris = £450 Repairs = £200 and counting... The smiles I get, that farty exhaust noise, being oily, having to 'grease my car's nipples', the every day questions and comments, how hard she is to get around certain corners, how TARDIS-like she is, having to park in gear on a hill... the list goes on...

Re: What's your Morris Minor worth to you?
I can only drive it on our own track at Bo'ness. It's not cleared for main Line running - or fitted with the necessary equipment to allow use on the Main Line (black box etc etc). You do understand that trains run on rails........ not roads........ You don't say....I have lived all my life w...

I am going to pass it on as an heirloom! By the way, do you drive your train to rallies on public highways?[frame]bmcecosse wrote:It's whatever you want it to be - as long as you can afford to keep the car!
