thanks twincamman. sorry bm i probably didnt explain that very well. yeah im setting up an escort diff and was measuring from a series 2 diff and wasnt sure it would fit a later model morris minor. i decided my car was too rusty so i stripped and waiting to get something else,

scored some 13 inch mag wheels and tyres for 150$.
it would seem that the 1300 escort van has a 4.1 ratio and larger drum brakes. i think i will go with the 4.1 as the old rwd toyotas run this ratio on a 4age motor and 5 speed. zippy round town an on hills i guess

ruined two kingpins undoing the bottom trunions with the pins still in. they are called swivel pins in the manual btw. i coudnt get the pins out and assumed the theads were bent or siezed, then relized the thread was strinping . i had to hold it in a vice to undo it with large wrench.. duh pretty st...

escort diffs?

hey there i have a coupl of escort diff.axle setups. one is off a van other a car. the van one has bigger drum brakes. anyone know how i can indetify the ratios and what would be a better choice for a engine upgrade?

actually the panel parts at bullmotif are very cheap... shipping is the bummer and import tax...
