If I were to go with fitting an MGB engine do you think I would have to do much cutting because I dont want to weaken the cars structure, have you any idea what is involved? would I use the existing 1098 gearbox or would I be able to fit the MGB box which I have including propshaft and MGB axle.

Hi All, Contacted ESM they sent me a replacement sender unit, have fitted it, now guage works fine,(a dodgy unit), Thanks to all.

If when i disconnected wire from sensor and connected wire to direct earth the guage showed hot surely when wire is connected to a workable sensor (if the newone i have previously bought doesnt work) and another workable one is fitted and i connect the earth wire...

Hi Bmecosse, Have disconnected temp sensor wire from back of guage, connected wire from earth to guage and needle has gone from C to H straight away, what is wrong then? Have no idea why fuse blew, perhaps it was coincidence, Yes I have tried what you suggest, i connected wire to both terminals on guage then one to pos and other to neg on battery, get full reading on guage either way, BAFFLED!

Can end up quite expensive, Ive already bought two and they were supposed to have been in perfect working order!

Does anyone know whether you can fit an mgb 1800 engine and gearbox and back axel into a Morris minor without too much trouble obviously brakes and suspension would have to be upgraded, its just that I havent seen or heard of this transplant!

Like the wheels although have you got nuts that fit wheels because standard nuts wont fit, also will the hole in the middle of wheel fit over dust cap on hub, what are you looking for them, are there 4 or 5 wheels
