Re: rust.....
It was only surface rust. A light jab and scrape with my trusty rust screwdriver showed me that. Reckon I caught it just in time. And now I have a nice polished sill runner. But only on one side, the other side the bolts refuse to move. My angle grinder will see to that.
Re: rust.....

Re: Worst Accessory Ever ????????
those mirrors are useless, i have them on each side.. theyre too far back so you have to twist your head to use them, the fall off when you open your quater light, you cant use them if you open your quater light and they bend in when you go above 30!

cold oil pressure.
Twice today my oil pressure light came on as I was on my way back from work, only when cold and only when returning to tick over after reving. When the engine was warm its fine, and each time a quick blip of throttle solved the problem. But it still can't be good?

Yes they are the same electricly speaking. However a dead battery has a very high risk of exploding, which when your bent over it will make a right mess of your face and hands. DON'T DO IT. Always connect the negative to a good earthing point on your car, away from the battery. It's a special kind o...

You dont directly connect a booster to the battery anyway! You put The positive on the positive terminal and the negative to the body work!!!

Mine didn't budge at all... I even tried it a few days later incase is gone wrong, but it clicks straight out. Mine is Abit tighter than 44lb/ ft though..... I went with the recommend tightness written on the gasket instructions of 56lb/ft, 3000 miles later I've got no problems.

Re: Morris minors are tops in survey
I have to say I quite enjoy practical classics! That and classic cars weekly are my staple reads. And one of the writers runs a classic workshop half a mile from me. I have to say I'm not surprised.... I've already seen more minors on the road this year that in the entire of last year.
